Squidoo SEO Tips

If you want to use Squidoo to promote your website or products that you sell, then you will want to make sure that your are optimising how the search engines will view your Squidoo lens (page).

Google ads are placed on the pages automatically by Squidoo themselves, so you have no control whatsoever of these.  This is how Squidoo makes its money as they do not charge people for its services.  The problem with this is that people will click on these ads and therefore leave your page, usually never to return.

There are options you can control your Squidoo pages, or lenses as they are known as.  You make the decision as to what keywords you are going to optimise your lens for.  This is a proactive way of making sure the search engine spiders visit your page.  When utilising keywords, the best density you can go with is around three percent.

By bolding some of these keywords on your page, the search engines will them know that you have placed emphasis on them.  There are also other ways of highlighting keywords in the text and one of these is to italic the words.  Your main keyword should also be placed as close to the beginning of the text as possible, as well as close to the end, again in bold or italic.

Another way to ensure your lens is attracting Google for the right keywords is to use the keyword in the title and the URL.  Using hyphens and not underscores when the keywords in the url have to be broken up is the best method.  If you link all your lenses on your blog roll, then Google will be able to find each lens easier.

One of the most important things to ensure is that you get a lot of back links to your lens.  Comments on other users sites is a good way of getting backlinks.  Try and use most, if not all, of the above pointers and you will see your lens rising in the rankings.

Should you renew your domain name for a long period? And if so, how long is long sufficiency? If you want to stay before of your competition, and so you might think looking at the length of time your rival have registered their domain names. If your challenger have commonly renewed their domain names for one or 2 years, you could think registering your domain name for five or 10 years. Why Is Article Marketing So Important?

If you take the time to follow what SEO forums are saying all over the internet, you will notice that everyone’s SEO strategy of choice right now is a method of search engine promotion and print media marketing that has been around for years. Article marketing is something that is gaining an increasing amount of attention because of the positive impact that it can have on your search engine results. With everyone becoming more interested in achieving a powerful search engine ranking, it is critical that you turn to article marketing as a means for marketing yourself online. As search engines become increasingly intelligent regarding reciprocal linking and other forms of link building, article marketing is going to require decent understanding of the process in order to be successful. Here are the important things that you need to understand regarding article marketing and the role it plays in internet marketing:

1 – How traditional article marketing works,

2 – How to do article marketing correctly,

Traditional article marketing works in a specific way: First you write a 450-750 word article, and submit it to as many article directories and submission websites as you possibly can. If you do not feel confident in your writing capabilities, there are plenty of professionals that will do it for you. Following a few days to a week, your piece of writing will be acknowledged and available into the article directories, allowing your content to be read by thousands of readers and sites in the process.

After your articles are submitted, search engines will begin to pick up on them, and you will begin to see new links appearing for your website. Your search engine ranking will benefit significantly as your submitted articles will generate links to your web site, and prospective readers and clients will go after these links to your website over and over. That is like free online advertising. If you want maximum results when it comes to your article marketing strategy, you should consider the following tactic:

Implement article marketing as a means of link building. The first step is to submit your article to all of the top article directories in whatever category best matches the niche of your website. Over time, other websites will pick up your articles and display them elsewhere on the internet. When you see other websites picking up your articles, you contact them specifically, offering to write unique content specifically for their website, including the same type of resource box and text link to create a new and even more effective link to your website.

Using this affiliate internet marketing tip to build quality links for your website is one of the best and more essential ways to build traffic to your website, and is an excellent example of why article marketing is such a powerful part of internet marketing as a whole. If you want to get the most out of an internet marketing campaign, article marketing must completely play a part in the larger picture.

Hints to Optimize Your Site With Keywords

Successful online markets must be forever on the lookout for new and innovative marketing techniques. There is never a time when a marketer can sit back and say I’ve done it all. It is a continuously evolving industry. There is not one marketer that would every say that keywords have no value. In fact the vast majority will tell you the opposite which is the truth, being they are extremely important.

It’s those simple but dynamic key words that will get you known to the millions of potential customers that constantly shop on the web. It doesn’t matter whether you offer a product or a service, you choice of keywords are critical to your success. These are the primary piece of information that the major search engines use to get you into their massive collection of information. The very same information bank that people tap into when they are looking for what you have to offer.

This is the very reason why the guru’s of SEO utilize tools of the trade such as Overture Keyword, Google Adword Keyword Suggestion tool or Worldtracker. It’s their modern technology that guides the webmasters into the proper keyword choices. Directory Sumission is another vast horizon that must be addressed.

It’s not just a matter of choosing one word to describe your site; it’s a matter of picking the right word. You have to think like a visitor. If they were looking for something on your site what is the most likely word they would type into the search engine to find you? Not only must you pick the most common keyword or phrase, you must use it in the proper places on your website as well. It has to be the most noticeable place that the search engine crawlers will find it. Primarily you will want it on your home page and including your other best pages, or most pertinent pages.

Website promotion services, what does it mean?

when they say they promote website what does it mean? do they just submit my website to search engines and do some banner exchange? or theres more to that? and can i do it myself?

You can do it yourself, all you need to do is build content and links to your site

Think articles, digg, stumble, simply, and the rest of the endless list of bookmarking sites

Forums, blogs, directories (non reciprical) websites

Content + content + inbound links = traffic, sep and pr!

oh if you want fake visitors, there is a free script on the net somewhere, thats what most scammers use…

Are there any methods to do website promotion?

I’m gonna start my Jerseys&Shoes business online, and of course I do have a website. I’m confident enough in my jerseys and shoes. As a matter of fact, I’m a rookie, so for the moment, I don’t want to advertise on Google or Yahoo.
So I’m just here to ask for your help: are there any methods to do website prommotion?

That’s a good question. Are you looking for free sources of advertising? Well, you can look on the search engine, and type ‘free classified ads’, and place many free classified ads online. You can also, go to the search engine again, and search for ‘jersey’, and ’shoes’ forums. Make up accounts at revelant forums. Put your website link in your ’signature file’ for free traffic, but I must remind you to not spam the forums. Don’t place ads on the forum chat areas. You can place relevant helpful newsworthy items, but not spam. Perhaps you can go to the search engine again and search for ‘forum advertising rules’, and try to learn more about that. There’s a few methods to advertise on the net for free. Good luck!!

What is the best way to get website promotion?

I own a women’s fashion web shopping mall.
But i don’t know how to do the promotion.
What is the best way to get website promotion?
what promotion people like ?

thanks

Oh boy, where do I begin?

You should divide up your marketing efforts in 2 ways:
- Traffic Generation
- Sales Conversion

Traffic Generation means getting new visitors to your site. This includes various techniques (some more essential than others). For example, Search Engine Optimization, Link-Building, Pay-Per-Click Advertising. Generally, you want your site to appear where your customers are. Consider joining shopping websites like Kaboodle and network with fellow netizens.

The second part is sales conversion.
Is your site easy to use? Is it designed professionally that people would feel comfortable buying online? Do you have online coupons? What does it offer that I can’t find in other online shopping sites? Do you run an email-campaign that regularly remind your customers of business updates?

Online Marketing is a very tedious and complicated expertise. That is why many try, but few succeed. There are way too many techniques that can be utilized, but it depends heavily on the niche of your market.

Best of luck in your business. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any specific questions.

How you shouldn’t acquire backlinks

how to get more backlinks

Hmmmm, this is a multi-faceted subject and I want to emphasise it’s not clear cut. But here is what I know in my work at the Backlinks clinic:

Authority – explained

The more authority your site has the better you will rank on Google. Authority means that searchers trust you and your content. The great news is that authorities trusted by people are also trusted by Google. A good illustration is the .edu and .gov suffixes. These suffixes imply they are authoratitive sources of information and it’s a proven fact that as far as Google is concerned backlinks from these domains to your site will contribute authority to your site. Another perfect example is Wikipedia as the contents here are almost always added by by tribes of people as opposed to a single source.

So it follows that authority is significantly influenced by the source of your backlinks and if authoritative sites link to you then you inherit their influence and in the eyes of Google you become more authoritative and hence the trust in your web pages by Google goes up.

How Google determines what is and isn’t authoritative is confidential for good reason and falls in line with Google’s philosophy of “Do no evil”. The last thing the Internet needs is someone manipulating the methods that Google untilzes in its efforts to try and bring some order to probably the most important technological resource of our times.

Backlinking methods you should avoid

And on this thought it’s worth my while stating some obvious sources and methods of building backlinks that Google not only dislikes but appears to be moving aggressively to ‘’categorize as negative authorities. In no particular order of merit, the prime examples are:

  • Paid backlinks – web pages where people buy and sell backlinks
  • Comment spam – entries that have links on web pages that are just not related to the main theme.
  • Low quality and *duplicate content – ‘scraped’ or copied
  • Rapid backlink growth – there are a large selection of ways that this is achievable, Google isn’t dumb. Any sudden rise in the number of backlinks is going to register on Google’s radar, specifically if it’s a brand new domain.
  • Backlinks from bad reputation web pages – these are particularly destructive as you are guilty by association – need I say more.

*There is another factor where I may be on shakey ground, but major media properties seem to get a lot of authority and I have definitely found significant quantities of the same content over and over again on different web sites with no penalties, I am still looking at this, only as a portion of of the results I am seeing go against the consistent behaviors I normally expect to see. More on this is in a future article….

Free website Traffic

Let’s face it, we all want more web site traffic and will do just about anything to get it and that’s where it all starts to go wrong!

If you think that some new software product will do all the work for you then think again, as soon as the search engines find out and they will. Then you have just wasted your time and money.

There is no easy way to getting website traffic that just grows and grows year after year!

So how do you set the process in motion, roll up your sleeves and get busy, articles are by far the best way to get backlinks to your site and increase your web site traffic and your page rank.

Let me give you an example of how this works, and trust me it works a treat to get more web site traffic

Let’s say you write an article called “getting web site traffic” just like this one, don’t worry how long it takes you to write the article just do it!

Next I will upload the article to my web site, then submit the article to the top article directories where people will be looking for new unique content for their sites. Now this is the interesting bit, your site may be PR2 but the directories that you have just submitted your article to have a PR4-5 even PR6 this is why we do this.

Now 3 things start to happen!

1) Next time the search engines index the article directories say 20 to 50 of them depending on how many you submitted your article to, you now have 20 to 50 back links to your site from a site with a page rank 4 or better that’s enough to take your site from a PR2 to PR3 which will move all your pages of your web site up in the rankings and increase your web site traffic.

2) The Article that you wrote may not do well on your site, But that’s because your site does not have a good PR.

In the past I have had articles rank in the top listings above the fold for weeks at a time, this sends me loads of traffic gets me a ton of backlinks to my site and I make even more sales!

The same article on my site was down around page 5 or 6 with the search engines, that’s because at the time my site only had a PR of 2.

3) Now this is the bit I really like, if you send in a good interesting article that’s well written and appealing to others then these people will use your article for their news letter or for content on their site.

When people use your article that they have found on a article directory they must leave your link in tact, this means that you can quickly gain lots of backlinks to your site and improve your page rank all this from 1 article.

One article that I had put on an article directory.com that got me 87 backlinks to my site in just 2 weeks, how long would it take you to get this amount of “relevant” links to your site and how much work would you need to do!

Make no mistake about it, this is the quickest method I know to getting more web site traffic to help your online business, do yourself a favour and get writing now 1 article per week will do more for your business than all the other things put together trust me if your looking to increase your web site traffic this is how to do it.

All the top marketeers get great results and web site traffic from marketing with articles you can too , start marketing with your articles with free article directory.
