Shorty Produkshins- Promotion’s Web, SEO, SEM and Social Branding

2 Shorty Produkshins Promotions Web, SEO, SEM and Social BrandingShorty Produkshins has what has been dubbed a “Promotions Web” by Jessica Abraham, founder of the company. A Promotions Web is the 2010 version of a barter marketplace. Each brand has something to offer the other brand without the need for monetary compensation, as this will come through lent and traded “favors.” Through the Promotions Web, client brands of Shorty Produkshins have the opportunity to sponsor each other and/or become a sponsor of a particular company in exchange of Word of Mouth and Promotional Interests. This may be made through contest prizes, giveaways, or services traded amongst one another, saving marketing budgets from major expenses and gaining new found exposure in the process. The Promotions Web also includes those that can help build a brand’s appearance on the web, and in general, at low costs and great qualities (i.e. Photographers, Videographers, Producers, etc.).

This video also talks about Search Engine Optimization, Social Branding, Search Engine Marketing, Adwords, Facebook Ads and MySpace.

How are google ads/SEM/paid search words sold to local businesses?

I know google has offices in Mountain View and NYC, but how do they sell to local markets? Do they have satellite offices or local sellers that report to CA or NY? If live in Phoenix and want to sell local business google search words or paid SEM how would that work?

If I understand correctly, what you want to do is offer managed PPC campaigns for local businesses in your area.

For this, you’d have establish an account with Google AdWords and Google Webmaster Tools. With Google AdWords, you’ll be able to create/edit/manage your online ads.

Additionally, you will have to verify the sites through the Webmaster Tool in order to set geographic targets for those sites.

What are some of the metrics one would use to judge if a paid search (SEM) campaign was successful?

I’ve worked with SEM before but more on the ad-hoc reporting side as opposed to the analysis. I was curious to know how do people judge the success of specific keywords or keyword buckets?

Click Through Rate (CTR)
Cost Per Click (CPC)
Conversion Rate (CR)
Cost Per Lead (CPL)
Cost Per Sale (CPS)
Cost Per Acquisition (CPA)
Average Order Value (AVO)

Finally the two that REALLY count !!

Return on Investment (ROI)
Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)

How do I get a position selling Search Engine Marketing (SEM) services?

I do not have any certifications but I have some limited knowledge about Search Engine Marketing (SEM) working in a marketing job. I want to learn how to actually get a position where I either sell the services and/or set it up for the business. Also, where do I get the training to do this?

As the dfather of the marketing Philips Kotlor told in 1992 that the world will be services oriented after 2000 as there is no problem in productions as comnputer are there what now we have to find out the ways only for selling and positioning of the goods. So now all the four Ps in the marketing except production are r equired SEM that price, placing, and promotion.

Have One Strong Focus – SEO – SEM Beginner’s Guide

2 Have One Strong Focus SEO SEM Beginners GuideRobin Good explains how important it is to have a major focus on one specific topic-theme if you are interested in getting lots of exposure and visibility from major search engines. Search engines send so-called spiders through every site to read the content of the site and understand better its theme focus. This is why the more focussed and specific your site is the easier it is for the major search engines to recommend it against relevant queries. For more info: http://www.masternewmedia.org
