    Don’t forget to use off-line methods to drive traffic to your site – business cards, letter heads, advertisements, fliers, directories etc.

    Doing on-line things will make it easier for people who are searching for what you do to find you but there’s also a lot of people who won’t know that they could have what you offer so you tell them about it off-line and drive them to your site for more information.

    Good luck!

    Well, there are many ways to drive traffic to a newly website. Before that i would suggest you to increase you website content, article or posts, so that visitors coming to your site will have something to crawl.

    The ways to increase traffic includes:
    * Article submission to top article directories.
    * Web directories submissions.
    * Search engine submissions.
    * Blog commenting on dofollow sites. (giving comments on dofollow blogs on similar topics on similar blogs/sites to yours)
    * Social bookmarking of your individual articles/posts (not just submitting is enough for that, need to make friends there and ask them to recommend the site for you)
    * Social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, myspace. (Create your own network and recommend them your site. Also comments on others sites on the same network)
    * Forum Posting. (Register to similar forums to yours. Create some posts according to forum rules, and put your sites link in the signature box with the proper anchor text you want to target)
    * Create squidoo lens.
    * Submit your site to blogs and RSS directories.
    * Link exchange. (Reciprocal your site with similar niche sites) One way links are better to get high PR.

    By doing all these things you website will get more visibility in search engines.

    But before doing all these stuffs make sure you have no errors and spelling mistakes in your website/blog. Also, keep your keywords density in between 3.5% to 5%, it will help you to get better search results and a good page rank.

    Personal suggestion: Work more on on-page activities if you want a long term business and visitors via search engines for your website.
