How do I increase traffic to my website?

I have a few websites, which the traffic is not bad it just it isn’t enough. Does anyone know how to increase traffic??

Since you already have a considerable amount of traffic, then my guess is that you have already done the following steps. But just in case you have missed any, consider the following:

1st try to get more back links to your website and the easiest and safest way to do that is by submitting your website to free web directories such as:

http://www.lii.org
http://www.dmoz.org
http://www.surformation.com

2nd Use Search Engine Optimization techniques to make sure your website will show in queries which are relevant to topics handled in your website.

3rd and most importantly, provide quality content, this is an indirect way to get back links by genuinely driving people to link to your website.

For free targeted traffic, try to raise your sites up search results. You need to do a lot of off-page SEO or article marketing. How about submitting as many articles as you can to article directories like EZine Articles?

After a cursory review of your SEO metatags on your opening webpage, we have found that:

    1. There is some confusion about whether your website is an actual business or merely an informational website. If it is a business, then you should consider the following:

    a. The <title> metatag contains your domain name which may not be a major recognizable brand. In which case, replace the domain name with more "generic" descriptive keywords, i.e., short hair, haircoloring, kat surth, hair fetish followed by your business/geographic target–Hendon, Virginia.

    Here’s an improved <title> metatag:

<title>short hair, coloring, kat surth, fetish | Hendon, Virginia</title>

    b. The <description> metatag should contain a singular sentence which describes your services and there’s a limit of 39-40 words [not a merely listing of services]. The current <description> "Home page for Jessieshair" again relies too heavily on the domain name while the reference to "Home page" is too general a phrase for search purposes.

    c. And finally, the <keywords> metatag contains duplicate domain name references which should be removed.

Hopefully, you will consider the above suggestions and incorporate any and all changes onto your opening webpage in a timely manner.

    Good luck!
