What is the best way to get a consistent level of website traffic?

Hi we have a website, http:www.poppedlung.com When we look at when people come and have a look at our site it fluctuates daily but always loads on a Friday and not much on a weekend day when I would have thought people have more time. What is the best way to ensure consistent traffic to a website?

One of the realities on the Web is that there are traffic patterns — some sites attract more audiences on given days compared to other days. In your site, Friday is the peak while for my sites Monday-Wed are the peak traffic days, and weekends are slower

Maintaining consistent web traffic patterns is not easy. And to do so, you’d need to do some marketing on the days your site’s traffic slackens. You can:

- push your pay per click on days you’d like to increase traffic
- send out a regular newsletter on weekdays to your subscribers
- buy a solo newsletter mailing on the weekdays
- issue a press release and distribute it online in those days

Review your site’s traffic patterns. Where are the traffic coming from? Definitely there will be rooms for improvement

I looked at your pages, and one thing I noticed is that your pages do not have unique metatags. The title for each and every page is the same —

<title>Popped Lung – Say it, say it loud!, make yourself heard!</title>

whether the page is sports, boys, politics or work.

That’s a big no-no in search engine optimization

Each page should have its unique title. That way, you can accurately describe and visitors will immediately know what they see on the page. Plus, it can help your search engine rankings in terms of getting your site ranked in MORE keywords. More keywords mean more traffic.

Review your site. Make your value proposition more inviting. Make people care about your site. Why will they want to post an article? What will happen when they post an article?

Let people know why they need to use and visit your site, and then promote it every day
