Can one really get backlinks by posting articles?

This site http://www.articlebanker.com claims that one can get unlimited backlinks by posting articles on this said site, is this possible.

Yes, that is how a lot of webmasters get free traffic to their sites, is by writing articles. There are lots of places you can submit your articles to and in the bottom of your article you get to place a link back to your website. Anyone who uses your article is suppose to keep the source links in place which will give you lots of free traffic, as long as it is a good article.

Yes. It’s a great technique. The key is to get backlinks from sites that are authorities, not just any site (if you’re trying to raise your page rank).

the site is only 3 weeks old. i might wait at least 3 to 6 months after they gaining some page rank. submitting articles to site with no PR is such a waste of time. should spend our time to submit articles to directories that have PR already. let those new directories get backlink to their site on their own first to increase their PR before we submit our articles to them.
